EXPERIENCE
Mr. Snider joined the firm in September of 1997.  He has over 25 years of experience in the design and management of a variety of civil engineering projects.  His experience ranges from small structure replacements and intersection improvements to studies and design of expressway facilities with interchanges.  Ross also has extensive experience on stormwater drainage and site design projects.  Mr. Snider also has experience in construction inspection and land surveying dating back to the 1970s.  His familiarity with all phases of project development and “constructability” issues insures that a quality design will be provided to the owner. 

As Vice President of Engineering at USI, Mr. Snider is in ultimate charge of all engineering and construction inspection projects.  A primary focus is working with the USI project managers and department managers to provide additional quality control and to insure that adequate resources are available to complete each project.  Ross is involved with every aspect of the project, including client services, funding, agreement and proposal preparation, cost accounting and invoicing, feasibility studies, design, public involvement, right-of-way and construction. 

In addition to his duties with USI, Ross is currently on the Board of Directors and now President of ACEC Indiana.  He is a former chairman of the ACEC liaison committees with INDOT and the Indianapolis Dep’t. of Public Works.  Since 2006, Ross has been one of the representatives of ACEC Indiana on “Team Indiana”, a coalition of representatives from the INDOT Executives Offices, ACEC Indiana, the Indiana Construction Association and utilities, working together to improve the delivery of INDOT and Federal Aid local projects.  These experiences give Ross a wide knowledge of the development of such projects that help benefit USI clients.
